Automated Invoicing Software for Windows (WinAIMS)

• System>Printer Setup
  - New Switch: Show Part Numbers On WO (default=yes)
• Workorder Print
  - Will now print/not print part numbers based on "Show Part Numbers On WO" switch
  - Works with "graphical" style workorder print
• Mechanic Detail Report
  - Now has the option of printing either the customer name or the year/make/model of the vehicle
• Fleet Statements
  - Phone numbers in header now print properly
  - DOS Version included break down of Labor, Parts, etc in totals; this has now been included in the Windows version.
• Workorder List/Edit
  - Increased in memory storage size for workorder totals
  - Now can handle -9999999.99 to 99999999.99. (One shop caused a system crash when a credit was accidentally recorded for over $100,000.00)
• Apply WO Payments
  - Payments Comments will now appear on the associated workorder(s).

WinAIMS Appointment Scheduler (WASched)

• System>Print Options
  - New switch: Show Part Numbers On Estimate (default=yes)
• Print Estimate
  - Can now be printed with or without part numbers based on "Show Part Numbers On Estimate" switch
• Convert to WO
  - Sometimes converting an Estimate to a Workorder would fail with a "type mismatch". All known locations where this could happen have been corrected.

WinAIMS Tools (WATools)

• Help>Check Version
  - New menu item to compare your version against the latest release.
  - Requires internet connection

Did you know?

• Quick way to get to printer setup:
      - Right-click any "Print" button and choose Printer Setup
• How to select Graphical workorder style:
      - Go to the Printer Setup form and change Style to Graphical.
      - When selected, the Top and Left Margins can be adjusted to center the printed workorder.
      - For these values, 1440 is one inch, 720 is 1/2 inch, etc.
• How to suppress the vehicle information on the Select Workorder List:
      - Go to menu item System>Global Switches
      - Set the "Vehicles on WO List" entry to "No".
      - The column will still be displayed but the vehicles will not.
      - This can speed up the display of the active workorders.

Miscellaneous information

• System - System Parameters - Backup Command Line:
  • Create a windows cabinet file on your hard drive:
    • c:\aims\cabback.bat aimsback.cab c:\aims C:
  • Copy the AIMS directory to another hard drive, memory stick, or writeable CD:
    • xcopy C:\aims F:\aims /C /E /F /G /H /I /K /R /X /Y
        - Note: the F: in the above needs to be changed to your drive letter.
        - Do not copy from C:\aims to C:\aims...
